Sister's Oath started as a ploy to encourage my 2 daughters to get along better. Angel and Harmonee were having a hard time getting along and agreeing on anything. They wouldn't help one another and they couldn't wait to tell me what the other had done wrong.

We sat down as a family and talked about our differences, our likes, our dislikes, our strength and our weaknesses. Harmonee(age 9) is very good with experiments and working with her hands. She is, also, good at asking good questions and researching the answers.

Angel(age 13) is very good at organizing and marketing. Her logic makes most adults think twice.

My 1st goal for the girls was for the to make an "Oath" with one another that they cannot break. This is where "Our Word is Our Bond" derived.

                   I explained to them the importance of keeping their word with one another. Building trust is essential to building a bond in any relationship. From this lesson, we plan to continue our journey in learning about life, ourselves, and our relationships.
